See website " Noble Pursuits." King's Kitchen is under that umbrella and they should. I am only a volunteer there with the Dream Center. Thank you for your kind inquiry.
I don't think they do cakes. We had our wedding reception here and they had no problem with us getting a cake delivered from a bakery.
5pm to 10pm on Saturdays
Yes reservations is available
There is also metered parking along the street. Regardless of where you park, a great meal awaits you!

Me either. But i understand they change that pretty regularly.
There is a parking garage around the corner and some street parking
Oh man.. I feel this place should be more packed every time I go. The food and service are fantastic. They do creative twists on classics like chicken pot pie and other hearty, country favorites. The scallops with farro and bacon were to die for. You need to try this place out if you haven't already.
Don't mind the construction. Tucked away in a little nook, this place is a gem. Great food, good wine list and excellent service, plus a really wonderful mission. The food was fresh and very tasty. Best greens I've ever had in a restaurant. We'll definitely be back.
The exterior design on this place is absolutely wonderful. They even have recipes painted on the outside. You can see the great modern looking feel the the lay out. When you walk by there is a window where you can see right back into the kitchen. What a cool spot. So many people recommend this place.
The food was flavorful and good a potion sizes. Tilefish- great crisp on the fish skin, quinoa was tasty. Fried chicken- perfect crisp. Pork- well done. Mac and cheese- cheesy And crisp at top. Butter beans-oooh yeah! Trust me, just get a side of the caper remoulade. I like the biscuit better than the cornbread
Ate at The King's Kitchen for dinner with family. Dinner was good and the service was good and that's all...good. At a price of $190 for five people, I expected GREAT. The menu has variety of options; we had the steak, pan fried chicken, pot roast and scallops but, again, it was just good.
Was expecting more of a flavorful, southern cooking experience but received more upscale southern food. The flavor was in the attentive service of our waiter, Paul. He was divine! We tried a variety of dishes, from salmon to burgers. The group favorite was the tomato basil soup. Get a bowl of it so you don't have to ask for seconds! Also ask to be seated on the patio for a nice view of sights and sounds.
I love eating here. Not only are they running a great program for people with a past, I've never been disappointed with anything on the menu. I recently got the roast beef plate. It was like heaven in my mouth. I enjoyed every bite. The service is always great. I am always greeted with a smile. I will continue to support this place as they do great things for the community while making great food and providing great service.
I dined during lunch and found the food, service, ambiance, etc to just be okay. I had the fish tacos and honestly wish that I didn't order them after one bite. They were really fishy, which just isn't my jive. I really do like the concept of the restaurant - helping to lift people up and get them back on their feet. So, I might give it another try sometime in the future.
They have the fastest service i have ever had at a sit down restaurant. Staff nice and polite. The fries were a lil salty and the chicken needed more flavor but overall good! The mashed potatoes were delicious and you can tell that apple butter is homemade. Good prices for the amount of food you get also
Loved our dinner here! These are the appetizers we ordered but the meals were so good that I forgot to take a photo! We will definitely go back!
Food was delicious! Service was great even on a busy night
Fantastic food and service, and a great cause that it supports. Had a fantastic experience here. If you need gluten free food options, the server was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in letting me know which items were or could be made to be gluten free. Great place for a meal in the heart of downtown Charlotte.
Expensive. Pretty good for the most part. Corn bread was aweful.
This restaurant is surely one of the most attractive place in the neighborhood. Whenever I visit this place I am profoundly pleased. They always keep their very high standard service and the highest level of cooking they provide. You are always happy with this restaurant. Very recommended.
Amazing ambience and service. We ordered a chef special onion soup, and the server mentioned it had beef broth in it and since my friend was a vegetarian we hesitated and the server immediately took back the soup and brought another vegan soup. The food portion is big. The quality and taste of food was great too. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in downtown Charlotte 🍻
The food was great and service was awesome. I went for a date night with my boyfriend for his birthday. Would highly recommend. I gave it 4 because the guests down from us were really loud
Love the mission of this restaurant! The atmosphere was classy and enjoyable. I absolutely loved the shrimp and grits, and the fries were good too. My friend enjoyed her burger. We were a bit disappoited for the portion of the salmon, and my friend wished that she was warned before getting it.Service was clumsy but otherwise our server was nice.Definitely will be coming here with my partner in the future.
Great place! The food was quite good. I had the fried chicken and mac & cheese. The staff was super nice, as well. I had heard about this place for over a year and was happy with finally trying it out.
First time to King's Kitchen. Went with a group of 14 from work. We were say in a cute, secluded room off the side of the kitchen. The decor was cute, and airy if a little lite. The bar in the center was inviting and comfortable. We had the pimento cheese appetizer. It comes with crostini. Good flavor and a solid portion for the group. The special potato soup was served well-seasoned and creamy. Best part of the meal. I ordered the seared scallops on a vegetable bed of mushrooms, brussel sprouts.
Great food and great service. But it's very loud. If you want a quiet dining experience, you might want to go somewhere else.
Lovely service here. The ingredients all taste very fresh and my fries were delicious and so was my husband’s side of Mac & cheese. Our fried chicken sandwiches left a lot to be desired, sadly. They were very chewy with completely dry portions throughout the thick cut of chicken. I couldn’t taste any of the toppings with how huge and drying the chicken was either. I’d love to try it again though as it seems like our sandwiches were a poor representation of their, hopefully, typical quality!
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. We're learned about three mission of three restaurant only after sitting down awaiting our food. What a great purpose.
It was good, couldn't complain. The waiter was a nice guy who went out of his way to serve. The atmosphere is spacious & the lighting was great. Food is served in nice portions but, this is Uptown Charlotte so you gotta be able to spend a little more than places in the suburbs...
This a great restaurant with a mission. It is a non-profit with net proceeds going to help those that are hungry! The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly.
Best porkchop I've ever had. Lovely restaurant with a great mission.
This is absolutely one of the tastiest place in the neighborhood. Anytime I come there I am deeply satisfied. They manage their high level service and the highest level of food they give. You will be always satisfied with this restaurant. Highly recommended.
Incredible food. Service was great. I had the shrimp and grits and it was one of the best dishes I have had in a long time. Good location downtown that makes it easy for lunch or dinner if you are staying from out of town. Good wine and local beer selection.
Great chicken sandwich, like really good. Server was a bit odd in his responses when asked about a side salad, just tonelessly repeating the same answer, but otherwise service was great. Mac and cheese was decent but could have come out hotter in my opinion.
This restaurant has the Best staff and they know how to provide excellent service. The food is amazing. I had BBQ baked chicken and three sides, plus cornbread. It eased more food than i could eat. I have tomorrow's lunch. The squash casserole was cheesy without being overly gooey. The pimento cheese appetizer was creamy, spicy and cheesy. The yams were sweet but not too sweet. The cornbread had pieces of corn in it. The mac and cheese was thick, cheesy with a brown, crusty top.
If you love great service and fantastic southern food at a great price then this place is for you. All of the staff was great from the hostess, to our waiter Will and the manager Rick even stopped by our table to make sure everything was perfect. I don't eat much fried chicken but saw so many people having it I ordered it. Best I've ever had. Not a collards fan either but decided to try them. Out of this world! Will definitely come back here!
The food was excellent and the service was very good. The shrimp and grits were great! Not too spicy just right! Others at the table had pot roast, NY strip, fried chicken, scallops and the beet salad and everyone loved everything they got! We also ordered the coconut cake and key lime pie to share we were definitely not disappointed it was very good! Definitely recommend eating here.
Terrific food, reasonable prices. But the greatest part is their commitment to blessing the homeless and those in recovery. This is the true gospel of Jesus lived out in the real world.
While the food was amazing, I can't say enough about how awesome our waitress was. Honestly one of the best waitresses we've had in a long time
Nice atmosphere. Delicious food. Friendly wait staff. I ordered a salmon dish here along with butter beans, collard greens and macaroni and cheese. The taste of the side dishes instantly took me back to Sunday dinner at my dear Granny's home. Absolutley delicious. U can really taste the love/soul in the dishes here. I also ordered the crab cake appetizer which was very fresh and choked full of succulent crab meat. For dessert, I had to have the banana pudding. Again it made me reminisce of times passed. This place has the best Soul food that I've tasted in Uptown Charlotte!
I had the fried oysters. They were delicious. Perfectly battered. The sauce was a delicious accompaniment.
I recently ate at The King's Kitchen for the first time and was thoroughly satisfied with my meal as well as the service. Everything I ordered tasted fantastic. The collard greens were the best that I've ever had at a restaurant in Charlotte. I'd recommend The King's Kitchen to anyone looking for a filling, southern meal.
First time I ever came here! Learnt about it from the funny bus tour and my family and I decided that we would give this place a go. Such high quality food and wait staff! Didn't have a long wait at all. We were there a maximum of 45minutes! I love that they work with the community and have opportunities for volunteering. EVERYBODY WINS!
An interesting restaurant located in downtown Charlotte. Price was a bit high for ala cart selections. Service staff was not at ease with dealing with customers, however were very attentive. The food was very good, except for the collard greens. In all fairness, our waiter could have been brand new at this job.
Amazing food. Well seasoned. Reasonable prices. Didn't had to wait long to get seated or get the food even during lunchtime.
The food was good. I ordered fried chicken and mashed potatoes, but they were out of both of these. I went with the salmon, which was alright. The portions were sufficient; there wasn’t too much food to eat in one sitting. The potato salad was also good. The collard greens were excellent.
Wonderful food and service! Great spot for delicious food and wine. Highly recommend the Chocolate Oreo fudge pie.
Amazing take on Southern cooking. Worth a visit.
Food was good, but not very hot. The pot roast has a lot of fat on it for the size and price I paid. Server was great tho!! Very attentive. For this to be a nice restaurant I don't understand how the bathrooms were so nasty. First stall was out of toilet paper, second stall the door wouldn't really lock, and third one had toilet paper on floor.
My wife and I come to town about 2 times a month during basketball season and we are always on the hunt for some good food when we are in town. While out for a morning walk we saw the Kings Kitchen and looked it up on yelp. I'm happy we went to the kings kitchen. The staff was super friendly but not over attentive, and the food was really good. We had the pimento cheese with some really good tasting bread as an appetizer and it was tasty. I had the tri-tip steak with fries and mushrooms, while my wife had the pot roast with mac and cheese and mushrooms. The meals were prepared really well and everything was great tasting. We can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes. I highly recommend trying out the Kings Kitchen.
Absolutely wonderful food. The shrimp and grits was the best I've ever had. The tri-tip was really good too and not a cut I see in a menu very much since moving away from the west so that was cool. We finished with the Derby Pie which was so perfect. All of this is topped off awesomely by the excellent prices. Truly a wonderful place to have a dinner with friends or loved ones.
An incredible place to eat. The food is just flat out great. It's also non profit and all profits made are going to helping the homeless and other communities of the city.
